About the beauty in being different. About discovering your magic and learning to love it. “we all can dance when we find the music that we love!”

ckburch: So today is Naked Reading Day as organized by the lovely ladies over here, so go check them out and join in on the fun. I chose Lisey’s Story by Stephen King, because it is honestly the story of his that has touched me the most. The story of an author, as seen through the eyes of his widow, and it touches on his traumatic past, their fitful but passionate marriage, and of course in true King style it goes into frightening paranormal territory. Throw in the wife’s fraught sister issues and a present day psychopath looking for the husband’s old work, and you’ve got a novel that races along. But there is much running in the current beneath the tale, a story of love, of loss, of family, and of those who touch us. It’s a story about how we move on when someone in our lives leaves us, and those emotions are deep and frightening true to heart. It’s a powerful novel, and it’s one worth checking out.

So, I couldn’t decide which one I liked more, so here are both, in honor of Naked Reading day.  I couldn’t get all my books in the photos, and I didn’t take any of my graphic novels off the shelf either. The book I am reading is “The Tales of Beedle the Bard,” by J.K. Rowling. I love the Harry Potter books, and got the special edition of this book from my Mom on my birthday one year. My Mom is the one who got me into reading as a child, and both her and this series hold a very special place in my heart.
